Product Profile: Glassgate 200
We often come across clients who are looking to monitor and control pedestrian access into and out of their building but they have limited floorspace, so require a compact solution which will still provide the required level of security.
The Glassgate 200 is the original model in our Fastlane Speedgates range and was designed with this in mind. Thanks to the use of a single bi-directional swinging glass barrier, the total width of the unit is brought down to 600mm per lane allowing it to be installed in narrow spaces with a limited impact on surface area.
The smaller unit does not compromise on security, however, and offers barrier heights up to 1800mm fulfilling the requirements of recent trends for full height barriers. Additionally, there are options to include locking brakes in order to further heighten its security capabilities. A single wider lane may also be provided per set of lanes to accommodate disabled access compliant to the DDA or ADA regulations.
The Glassgate 200 remains popular and has been installed in many buildings around the world over the years, including Toei Animation’s new studio in Tokyo, The White Chapel Building and the Angel Building, both in London.
As standard, the Glassgate 200 is housed in a stainless-steel enclosure with a brushed stainless-steel finish. The top features Black Quartz Corian inserts to facilitate concealed or surface mounted card readers. Options for other materials are available upon request, as we design and build our units here in the UK, we are able to accommodate and create bespoke solutions depending on your precise needs.
