Celebrating Fastlane’s new home in NYC
For nearly 25 years, our partner – Smarter Security – has been building Fastlane’s reputation as a premier entrance control brand in North America and, with that, comes certain assurances for customers, such as quality build, proven reliability and stylish design. It’s these assurances that have resulted in Fastlane turnstiles being chosen to secure some of the most high profile buildings in New York, including several in the World Trade Center complex.
Until recently, those interested in Fastlane products have been taken by Smarter Security on a city tour, taking in some of these notable buildings so that they could see and experience the products in operation first-hand. Now, integrators, partners and end users can see the latest innovations in entrance control in one location, at Smarter Security’s new Showroom which occupies one of the World’s most prestigious locations in Midtown Manhattan, on Fifth Avenue.
“Several forces combined to drive our Manhattan expansion” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “First was the accelerated growth we’ve experienced in New York City over the past two years. The second driver was that architects have increasingly requested a dedicated site to supplement the many Manhattan lobbies we typically show them around to showcase the products’ versatility. And finally, we have a dedicated Regional Manager – Danielle Ebner – who lives in the City, so this provides prime Midtown office space from which she can be even more responsive to our customers’ and partners’ needs.”
Fastlane’s Optical and Speedgate ranges have become firm favourites of architects in New York due to the many customisation options. Showcasing some of these bespoke options, the new Smarter Security Showroom is home to an assortment of custom-designed Fastlane and Door Detective products, featuring integrations with other leading access control technologies.
Pictured below, from left to right, is a custom sharp square end Fastlane Plus 400MA barrier arm turnstile with an inset silver glass top, a white Glassgate 150 with white Corian end cheeks, an extended Glassgate 155 with integrated MorphoWave™ Compact finger print scanner and CCTV for facial recognition, and a Glassgate 300 tall locking unit finished in bronze Rimex.
