Range Profile: Fastlane Plus
Designed to provide effective entrance control with a minimal footprint, the Fastlane Plus range can be found securing environments where space is at a premium but a method of monitoring and controlling pedestrian movement is still required. You will find these barrier arm turnstiles in the reception areas and lift lobbies of notable buildings around the world, including the UNESCO HQ in Paris, Towers 3 and 4 of the World Trade Center Complex in New York and Cleveland State University.
Featuring the latest infrared technology, the throughput of individuals entering and exiting a building can be optimised and monitored using Fastlane Plus turnstiles, with the barrier arms providing a visual deterrent as well as acting as a physical block to prevent unauthorised passage. In addition to the barrier arms themselves, the Fastlane Plus range of security turnstiles also feature individual beam paths which are capable of processing up to 1 person per second and include an anti-crawl system, creating an alert should a person try and pass under the barrier arms. These beam paths also identify tailgaters as close as 5mm from the authorised pedestrian, thus enforcing a one card/one entry policy.
The fast-acting arms operate in normally closed mode, retracting into the pedestal upon presentation of valid user credentials. In the event of an unauthorised user attempting access, Fastlane Plus units feature a two-stage alarm response, sounding an audible alarm and maintaining closed barriers to prevent entry. If the unauthorised user persists in their attempt to push past the barrier arms, then a second alarm sounds triggering other security functions such as CCTV or locking internal doors through integration with compatible systems.
All standard models in the Fastlane Plus range are supplied with a brushed stainless steel enclosure, with the pedestal tops in stainless steel with Black Quartz Corian end inserts to facilitate concealed or surface mounted card readers. We created the standard Fastlane Plus units to offer a solution which meets the aesthetic and functional needs of architects and specifiers but, as with all of our Fastlane products, the Fastlane Plus range is highly customisable. This allows us to accommodate your architectural and design specifications to complement any indoor environment, whilst still maintaining the level of security you require.
400MA
The 400MA is our top of the range Fastlane Plus product. This elegant turnstile features an intuitive lane status display to guide users through the system and can be configured to match the required entry and exit settings for a specific building, for example card in/card out or card in/free exit with automatic operation of the barrier arms on exit. The centrally located barrier arms of the 400MA have a unique self-resetting breakaway feature to ensure safe egress in an emergency.
Available for a standard lane width of 660mm or for a wider lane width of 914mm, the 400MA provides disabled access compliant with DDA and ADA regulations.
400AS
The barrier arms on the 400AS are located at the exit side of the pedestal and, with this particular model, the user may change the mode of
operation to normally open where the arms close upon an unauthorised entry attempt. The enclosure is longer on this model to provide additional detection before the barriers, to facilitate this normally open mode functionality safely.
The Fastlane Plus 400AS has dual retracting tubular barrier arms which are available for a standard lane width of 660mm or for a wider lane width of 914mm to provide disabled access compliant with the DDA and ADA regulations.
30MA
The Fastlane Plus 30MA offers an entry level barrier arm turnstile. The single barrier arm is located in the middle of the lane and offers a compact lane width of 550mm. For disabled access, the 30MA may be integrated with the 400MA model for a wider lane width of 914mm.
