Integrated Design Limited appoints Alan Hardy as Sales Manager EMEA
Integrated Design Limited (IDL) is pleased to announce that Alan Hardy has been appointed as the new Sales Manager for EMEA. Alan will be responsible for developing IDL’s sales strategies and operations in this region for Fastlane and Door Detective entrance control products, as well as providing market insights so that IDL can adapt its solutions to best suit the changing needs of customers in this area.
Alan has worked in the security sector for more than 20 years and has a wealth of experience in the development and implementation of sales strategies geared towards achieving sustained growth across EMEA. Previously working with integrated access control products at TDSi and Remsdaq, Alan has experience of tailoring strategies to align with local market requirements, with the objective of maximising profitable sales revenue.
“I’m really pleased to join the IDL team, looking after customers and installation partners in this exciting region,” comments Alan. “Past sales in EMEA suggest that the Fastlane Glassgate 150 model will prove most popular, due to its ability to simultaneously provide the required level of security whilst also complementing high-spec, elegant environments with its sleek, modern styling. I also expect there to be demand from a few discerning customers, particularly in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, for bespoke finishes on other turnstile models.”
Alan continues:
“Fastlane and Door Detective products already secure many high-profile buildings in EMEA, including the Aldar HQ and the Etihad Innovation Centre in Abu Dhabi, and the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai. Having worked in this market for over 20 years, I have built up a great network of contacts across all verticals who trust me to advise them on the most suitable security solutions for their needs, so expect to see news of other notable buildings in EMEA choosing Fastlane products soon.”
Despite the current economic climate in the region putting downward pressure on pricing, Alan expects customers in the Middle East to value IDL’s premium entrance control products, which are manufactured in the UK and therefore have certain assurances associated with that.
“Attributes such as reliability, quality and peace of mind that IDL products are backed up with a comprehensive aftersales service are important to EMEA customers,” continues Alan. “Some competitors may be able to provide turnstiles at a lower initial price point, but in our experience the total cost of ownership can rapidly add up if you factor in unexpected callout costs to fix faulty equipment, for example. With Fastlane and Door Detective products, customers can be assured that they’re getting a reliable system that won’t inconvenient users, and will look great too.”
Commenting on Alan’s appointment, Shane Naish, Operations Director at Integrated Design Limited, said:
“Alan’s experience of working in the EMEA region for the past two decades stands him in great stead for this role, as he already has an established network of contacts and a great understanding of the local customs and culture, which is so vital to doing business in this area. We’re really pleased to welcome Alan to IDL, he is a great addition to our sales team and will provide excellent support to our existing and potential new customers in EMEA.”
Alan will be representing IDL at Intersec in Dubai in January, demonstrating Fastlane and Door Detective products to existing contacts as well as inviting new connections on stand to see the products in action first hand.
