Product Profile: Fastlane Glassgate 155 and 400 Plus
The Fastlane Glassgate 155 and 400 Plus offer additional security and lane width options whilst maintaining the renowned good looks of the Fastlane range. They also provide new opportunities for security control for wider lanes, including tailgate detection and the optional Sidegate Detection®, where two people attempt unauthorised side by side entry through an entrance control system.
Stylistically, the Glassgate 155 units are recognisable as a Fastlane product, utilising dual glass barrier panels operating in a bi-directional normally closed mode, but now feature at least 56 concealed optical beams. The concealed optical system allows for a sleeker look with waist height glass barriers and optional locking brakes.
Developed with leisure facilities in mind, this model offers a wider lane of up to 1200mm and can accommodate sports wheelchairs, which are slightly wider than standard wheelchairs, making this a more inclusive entrance control, as all users enter and exit via the same point. This also means that fire exit routes are now much simpler, as all users can exit via the same set of gates.
As standard, the Glassgate 155’s enclosure is comprised of stainless steel with a brushed finish and the pedestal top is stainless steel with Black Quartz Corian inserts. But, as with other models in the Fastlane range, options for other materials and finishes are available on request.
The Glassgate 155 also comes with Fastlane Connect allowing the units to be integrated with other Fastlane applications – including our FastCount app, providing real time building population data.
The Glassgate 400 Plus is an extended version of the Glassgate 400, featuring 1.8m high barrier of laminated and toughened safety glass acting as an imposing psychological barrier to intruders. As well as physically preventing them from gaining unauthorised access, the Glassgate 400 offers the highest level of physical deterrent available in the Fastlane pedestrian entrance control range.
The longer pedestal uses at least a 36 beam high resolution infrared matrix to ensure best in class detection of people and objects, the wider lanes may also have the optional Sidegate Detection® system installed to detect attempted side-by-side dual entry to ensure safe and secure operation.
It also features an optional locking brake, making the glass doors virtually impenetrable, even in the event of someone trying to gain unauthorised access by running at them or applying significant force to them.
The 1.8m tall barrier height glass barriers are designed to open in a door-like motion, closing quickly and safely behind users, leading to fast user acceptance. With the turnstiles capable of intelligently controlling pedestrian traffic flow, and processing 60 authorised users per minute, users experience little or no dwell time when gaining entry after authorisation.
The Glassgate 155 and 400 Plus also allow for seamless integration with access control, CCTV and whole building management systems.
