Fastlane’s innovative technology to take centre stage at Intersec 2023

The 24th edition of Intersec will be held over three days, 17 – 19 January 2023, at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Now changed to the new format, Tuesday to Thursday, the show remains a key event in the security calendar and Integrated Design Limited (IDL),  will be exhibiting its innovative range of integrated entrance control solutions.

Visitors to IDL’s stand – S3-F10 – will have the opportunity to see, for the first time, the company’s new addition to the Fastlane Glassgate 150 range, the Glassgate 150 Plus.  In addition, the Door Detective Plus model, now featuring innovative ‘sidegating’ technology, will also be on show.

Product premieres

Commenting on the show, Tony Smith, Major Accounts and Marketing Manager at IDL said: “We are pleased to be making a return to Intersec in 2023. Our entrance control solutions continue to prove popular in the region due to their elegant design and reliability.

“This year’s show will also be the launch pad for one of our new products, the Glassgate 150 Plus, alongside some of our familiar favourites, all of which now feature the very latest in sidegating detection, as well as our new anti-climb over technology.

“If you’re new to our products, come and talk to Alan Hardy – our EMEA Sales Manager – either with specific questions, or just to get a feel of who we are and what we offer. And if you’re old friends, please stop by to catch up, or to see our latest innovations.”

Innovative entrance control solutions

As well as the new, some of Fastlane’s most popular products will be on display, including the Glassgate 400 Plus and the Glassgate 300.

The Glassgate 300 remains one of Fastlane’s best-selling products. Featuring a microcontroller capable of handling up to 10 million decisions a second, it is the knowledge gained through this technology that enables the turnstiles to be ‘opinion-forming’ – vital in being able to distinguish between a pedestrian with pull-along luggage and someone attempting to tailgate.

For those who need the highest level of security, the Glassgate 400 Plus is the largest option in the  Speedgate range and will be shown with the widest available lane choice (1.2 metres), suitable for maximum ease of wheelchair access. The unit will be displayed with integrated sidegating detection, anti-climb technology, and locking brakes.

The Door Detective Plus is the largest and highest-spec model in the Door Detective range of optical-only turnstiles. Door Detective units are installed on either side of a door frame to provide infrared optical monitoring without a physical barrier – breaches will generate an alert for security staff.
