New products added to the popular Glassgate range – 300 Slimline and 150 Plus
Leading manufacturer of entrance control systems, Integrated Design Limited (IDL), has announced that two new products will soon be added to its Glassgate range of turnstiles, the 300 Slimline and 150 Plus. These new models feature IDL’s latest multi-beam mixed optical technology, providing best-in-class unauthorised user detection and a sleeker look. Plus, both will feature a completely new drive and brake system.
The new Glassgate 300 Slimline is a revisited version of the current Glassgate 300 which remains one of the company’s most popular products. The new Glassgate 300 Slimline has a new slimmer profile and concealed beams which improve the overall aesthetics of the turnstile.
The 300 Slimline comes with a polished black glass top as standard which has now been fitted with mechanical fixings ensuring that all the turnstile components can now be recycled. Other improvements to the model include a new drive and brake system, both of which are now made at IDL’s UK manufacturing centre in West London.
Another notable design change from the previous Glassgate 300 is that the top shaft has been removed which further adds to the lightweight look of the turnstile, but with the new braking mechanism, it means security isn’t compromised.
The new Glassgate 150 Plus is an extended version of the Glassgate 150 with an increased lane width of 1000mm. The enclosure of the 150 Plus comes in a brushed stainless-steel finish, and the pedestal top being black glass which facilitates concealed card readers. A stainless steel and corian top will be an option.
As with the new 300 Slimline, the 150 Plus features a brand new sensor arrangement both top and bottom and is fitted with an improved braking system designed especially for turnstiles with larger glass.
Commenting on the new models, Tony Smith, Major Accounts and Marketing Manager at IDL, says “We are very much looking forward to bringing these two new products to market, both of which are models based on two very successful existing turnstiles as part of our Glassgate range. The changes to both the 300 and 150 models have been made through customer consultation to meet market needs, plus the use of common components makes them both easy to install.
“Both models were recently on display on our stand at The Security Event and it was great to see that they were positively received by our installation partners and new customers alike. They will be at several other shows this year.”
