Our pick of the best Security exhibitions in 2018
It’s an exciting time for the security industry. Change is fast and highly innovative; products, solutions and technological developments are rapidly evolving in response to the changing landscape of threats. Attendance at security exhibitions is vital to establish and maintain a position at the forefront of the security industry, facilitating a meeting of the minds responsible for innovation and a chance to showcase or procure leading security solutions. Here are a few dates to circle in your calendar of those events that we feel are key for 2018.
Intersec 2018, Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, 21 – 23 January

In this, its 20th year, the world’s leading trade fair for Security, Safety and Fire Protection promises to be bigger and more advanced than ever. Attracting in excess of 1,300 exhibitors and 32,000 visitors from 50+ countries in 2017, this year’s event will host 15 individual country areas, specialised pavilions ranging from Careers to Safety Design in Buildings, and a Drone Zone. The future of security and safety solutions will be at a visitor’s fingertips!
Security Show, Tokyo International Exhibition Centre, 5-9 March
With expected visitor numbers of 70,000, the Security Show is Japan’s most sizeable Security and Safety exhibition. 600 exhibitors will showcase products including surveillance and information security systems in addition to access control. Exhibition zones will cover such areas as General Security, Disaster Prevention and Image Processing Technology, thus appealing to a diverse demographic of visitor, from System Engineers to Civil Defence Officials.
Security & Counter Terror Expo, Olympia, London, 6-7 March

The Security & Counter Terror Expo is at the forefront of national security events in the UK. More than 10,000 senior level visitors gather at this showcase of the strategic capabilities and counter terrorism measures ensuring the safety of entire nations. With attendees making high-level decisions regarding procurement of systems, this event is fully aligned with Home Office Security Strategy and influencers in national security.
Security & Policing, Farnborough, 6-8 March
An official Government event discussing advances in national security, the Security and Policing event exhibitors are able to offer specific solutions for the operational needs of the visitors, with live demonstrations in this secure, purpose-driven environment.
ISEC, Dublin, 11-12 April
Stand E12
Due to popular demand, this event – which has run biennially for 15 years – is now running annually. With longstanding success for the Irish Security and Fire Industry, the event welcomes 1,100 visitors including contractors, procurement managers and installation specialists.
ISC West, Las Vegas, 11-13 April
Smarter Security Booth 15115
The International Security Conference & Exposition, known as ISC West, showcases products in addition to providing networking opportunities with over 30,000 personnel in attendance from the security sector. The largest of its kind in the United States, this show also offers training opportunities from several of its 1,000 exhibitors.
Intersec Saudi Arabia, Jeddah, 24-26 April

Back for a second year in Jeddah, Intersec Saudi Arabia is the leading Safety, Security and Fire Protection Trade Fair in the region. With 170+ exhibitors and visitors numbering 6,100 in its first year in 2017, the show is back for a second year due to the high number of trade visitors from Jeddah in previous years at Intersec Dubai, and additionally to maximise the potential of the security sector in Saudi Arabia due to the rise in new infrastructure projects and the geo-political situation.
Elevate, Excel Centre, London, 10-11 May
Although not a security exhibition, this one is worth a mention too. This physical activity trade show showcases sector-specific products, trends and services and hosts an exciting conference programme. Exhibitors and visitors can connect easily and effectively, and all of this is free of charge to attendees. With a number of products in the Fastlane and Door Detective range suitable for fitness facilities, we’re excited about attending this exhibition to discuss the entrance control possibilities with gym owners and managers.
IFSEC London, 19-21 June

At the forefront of global security, IFSEC connects visitors from every level of the security industry and welcomes collaboration and the showcasing of new and innovative solutions. Not just a trade show, IFSEC is a mouthpiece for the discussion of hot topics in the industry and a spring board for the future of global security. In excess of 27,000 visitors from more than 100 countries gather to visit almost 600 exhibitors and seek out cutting-edge technology and inspiration.
ASIS Las Vegas, 24-27 September

Interactive demonstrations, innovative solutions and industry experts can all be found at this event, the 64th annual ASIS exhibition. Thought-leaders from diverse areas of the security industry come together to share their knowledge and to connect with the hundreds of visitors and brands available.
ISC East, New York, 14-15 November

ISC East, or The International Security Conference & Exposition is a highly successful event highlighting physical and information security, in addition to offering industry training and networking opportunities. With 2017’s show welcoming 7,000 attendees and 250 exhibitors, there will be technological advancements in biometrics, unmanned security and other fields on offer to this year’s visitors.
UK Security Expo, London, November 28-29

A showcase for all matters global security, UK Security Expo prides itself on representing ‘end-to-end’ security. Last year more than 10,000 visitors joined 350 exhibitors at this event, which offers numerous conference opportunities alongside procurement and hands-on demonstrations. In 2016, we were pleased to be involved in the Crowded Places Immersive Demonstrator, which proved to be one of the most important focus points of the exhibition, and even won an Exhibition News Award for the ‘Best Feature Area,’ so we’re thrilled to be involved in this again in 2018.
