Derek pounds the pavements to raise money for charity

Derek Huff, Managing Director at Integrated Design Limited, is celebrating after completing the Virgin Money London Marathon on 23 April and raising £1,025 for Reed’s School in Cobham, a Charitable Foundation aimed at providing the best education to young people who have been disadvantaged, often by the loss of a parent.

Derek successfully completed the 26.2 mile course crossing the finishing line in 4:50:21, Derek comments: “I decided to tackle the London Marathon as a personal challenge, but also to raise money for this wonderful school in Cobham – Reed’s School. It has an amazing history and ethos and I know at least three pupils who have been given access to a fantastic education thanks to the bursaries available. Running the London marathon was incredibly tough but also hugely inspiring. The cheering crowd and iconic city sights gave me the encouragement I needed to get through the hard stages of the course.” *

Hot on the heels of Derek’s London Marathon success, comes a team event – the annual 5k fun run organised by Mundays on 10th May. IDL is participating in this fundraiser for the Princess Alice Hospice and Derek is running as part of the Fastlane team.
