Door Detective Steps Outside!

2003
sees the launch of Door Detective IP55 a new external
version of our highly successful Door Detective. Ever
since its launch in 2000 Door Detective has proved
to be a hit with customers who want to make sure only
one person passes through a door when a card has been
presented. Previously Door Detective was only designed
for indoor applications. The IP rated unit will be
ideal for external applications such as revolving
doors as well as front and back doors, which are typically
unmanned.
The unit is designed to be IP 55 rated and have an
operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C. |

Door Detective has been established as the solution

to expand its applications to outside doors and revolving

Following last years highly successful Intersec exhibition
in Dubai Rayonet perimeter protection systems have
recently been shipped to Egypt, the U.A.E, Saudi Arabia
and Iran. IDL will be exhibiting at Intersec again
in 2003, on stand A75 opposite the main entrance. |

Smarter Security in America has provided CNN with
Fastlane wall mount as part of their new state-of-the-art
security system at the entrance to CNN Center in Atlanta,
USA. |
Japan

Toshiba Social Automation Systems, a Toshiba Company,
has signed up to act as an OEM reseller of the Fastlane
Entrance Technology range in Japan. |
China

Sino Security International, one of HID’s leading
distributors, are now also distributing the whole

The
IDL web page has recently been updated and in the
new downloads section it is possible to download all
product brochures, application manuals, data and sales
sheets. Planned for early 2003 is the inclusion of
our Spanish, French and Italian sales literature. |

The clearer
solution for security |
Fastlane
ClearStyle has recently been installed in the refurbished
multi-tenanted office building; Southside, 105 Victoria
Street, London SW1. |
Walker
Packman where employed to design and project manage
the refurbishment of the main entrance and reception
at Southside. Additionally they project managed the
replacement of the main infrastructure plant and equipment
together with the strip out and refurbishment of
30,000 sq. ft of office accommodation. |
Part
of Walker Packman’s brief was to design a security
system that would complement the modern design and
décor of the new reception areas, but still
provide an effective measure against unwanted intruders.
The chosen system also had to offer Southside’s
many staff and visitors a combination of user friendliness
and speed of use, so as not to impede their ingress
or egress to and from the building. |
Walker
Packman selected Fastlane optical turnstiles, To further
minimise the aesthetic impact that the turnstiles
would have on the overall design of the reception
areas, the ClearStyle version of Fastlane was chosen.
These units are predominantly made of glass, creating
an open appearance, ensuring that they would blend
in with the fabric of the building. Each entrant is
assigned with an access card that they present every
time they pass through Fastlane. This ensures a one
person, one card policy and provides the most effective
detection of illegal entry attempts, including tailgating.
As there is no barrier, speed of throughput is also
vastly increased with users typically entering at
one person per second. |
