Customer Services Support Engineer

Job Purpose:

To provide a high quality service to the products we manufacture.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Technical Service Manager, you will perform service operations, carrying out repairs, maintenance and installation of Turnstiles and accessories on a key account site.

Essentially you should have a minimum ONC or equivalent in Electronic Engineering and are ideally an experienced Installation Engineer. Your background in Electronics has preferably been gained in a high technology service environment, together with an understanding of Motor driven applications. You should have excellent people and motivational skills and the ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers at all levels, providing service information, technical data and general help as necessary.

At the interview you will be asked some Electronic and Electro-mechanical questions so please be prepared to answer some basic questions.

Fastlane Customer Services Support Engineers install, monitor and maintain the Fastlane systems nationwide with the occasional overseas visit. They may install and configure turnstile systems, diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person. Also, the support engineer’s role may span one or more areas of expertise.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Purpose:

To develop Products that compliments the IDL portfolio as part of Design & Development team using project management skills, mechanical engineering competencies and 3D CAD using Autodesk Inventor skills.

Job Description:

The job holder will be primarily located at the company’s premises in Feltham, Middlesex, England. Reporting to the Technical Manager the main duties (primary tasks) for the job holder are outlined below;

Main Attributes:

a) Mechanical / Product design experience
b) Conversant in CAD – Autocad and Autodesk Inventor / 3D CAD program
c) Experience with sheet metal fabrication and / or Electro-mechanical enclosures.
d) Experience which shows that they are adaptable – work on their own or within a team.
e) Project management experience – Manage own targets and deliverables
f) Production engineering experience.

Production Assistant – General

Job Purpose:

To provide product assembly and test activities for the production team.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Production Team Manager the main duties (primary tasks) for the job holder are outlined below;

a) To provide General Assembly according to Work Instructions and Quality Procedures
b) To provide Inspection, Testing and Packing of assemblies and finished units
c) To assist stores staff in picking materials from stores according to kit list details
d) To provide general duties for Production Department.
